April 2026 – Luxury design brand HOLLY HUNT will partner with Sirimiri for a special programme during London Craft Week, spotlighting heritage textile techniques and exceptional craftsmanship.

Hosted at HOLLY HUNT’s Mayfair showroom, the collaboration highlights textile artistry through a curated series of live demonstrations and installations. At the centre of the programme will be a live hand-embroidery demonstration by award winning London based textile artist Alice Timmis, a long-standing Sirimiri collaborator.

On 13 May during London Craft Week, Timmis will embellish a Sirimiri recycled wool blanket and a HOLLY HUNT Conrad handwoven blind using traditional embroidery techniques. The finished blanket will be displayed on a HOLLY HUNT bed in the showroom, forming a central installation that showcases the dialogue between material, process and interior design.

The design explores the purity of line and gesture, translating fluid hand-drawn marks into intricate embroidery - merging contemporary design language with traditional craft processes. The concept, sketches and original artwork were developed by Lauren Wood of Sirimiri, providing the foundation for the embroidery. Referencing HOLLY HUNT’s Great Plains Lake Como fabric, the design echoes its texture and metallic detailing through Sirimiri’s artisanal textile language. Drawing inspiration from the British landscape, reeds, rippling water and willow branches found in London’s parks are translated into intricate stitching. Metallic threads catch the light across the wool surface, creating a sense of movement.

ABOUT ALICE TIMMIS

Alice Timmis is a London-based, award-winning textile designer and artist whose work spans hand weaving, jacquard design, and hand embroidery. She founded Alice Timmis Studio in 2017 after completing an MA in Woven Textiles at the Royal College of Art and gaining experience in Italy’s renowned textile mills.

Timmis is known for her painterly approach to textiles, creating high-end woven and embroidered fabrics that challenge conventional methods and celebrate artisanal skill. Her embroidery work has been commissioned by designers including Erdem, Mary Katrantzou, Olivia von Halle, and Victoria Beckham.

Her practice also encompasses sustainable textile research, including developing new uses for pre-consumer waste materials and exploring responsible material innovation. Timmis has lectured at institutions such as Central Saint Martins and Chelsea College of Arts and has been recognised with industry awards including the Clothworkers’ Award.

ABOUT SIRIMIRI

Sirimiri is a British brand specialising in timeless bed, bath and table linens, with handwoven and loom-woven throws and blankets to complement their collection. Crafted with a commitment to ethical production and environmental responsibility. The company was founded in 2020 by Lauren Wood and Lucy Pickavance, following a series of conversations that began in 2018 around sustainability and conscious living.

At the time, both founders were working at the internationally acclaimed design practice Spinocchia Freund—Lauren as Design Director and Lucy as Managing Director. As their personal commitment to sustainability deepened, they began to question how these principles might extend into their professional work. This curiosity led them to explore the textile industry, where traditional production methods often rely heavily on water consumption and chemical processes.

Seeking an alternative to this ‘take–make–waste’ model, Lauren and Lucy researched more responsible approaches to textile design and manufacture—methods that would minimise environmental impact without compromising on quality or aesthetic integrity. From this, Sirimiri was conceived.

Working from their London studio, Lauren leads the design of each collection with a considered and collaborative approach. Every piece is thoughtfully developed, with careful attention given to material selection, functionality and longevity. Production takes place in Italy, where skilled artisans—aligned with Sirimiri’s values—bring each design to life through exceptional craftsmanship.

Drawing on their interior design expertise, the founders offer a highly personalised service. Clients are guided through the creative process, from developing colour palettes and selecting fabrics to incorporating bespoke details such as embroidery. With access to an extensive range of fabrics, trims and finishes, each piece is tailored to suit its intended setting.

Sirimiri operates on a made-to-order basis, allowing for complete flexibility and individual expression. Personalisation options include monograms in a curated selection of fonts, as well as custom motifs and intricate artworks, ensuring that every piece is entirely unique. Each item is hand-cut and meticulously produced in Italian ateliers, reflecting both the ethos of Sirimiri and the specific requirements of its clients.
